This summer is literally the longest summer I have ever had. At the end of it, I will have been out of school for over 4 months which is longer than a semester at school. It was so hard to leave Pepperdine back in April and I constantly miss living there and all of my friends, but it is almost August.
God has truly blessed me this summer. I was looking for a job for the first month I was here and then on a whim, from a fax sent to a number in the employment section of the Houston Chronicle I was hired as a personal assistant in the nicest neighborhood in Houston. On top of that, I was welcomed into the home of one of my best friends who I met at Pepperdine, Caitlin. I have been living in their maid quarters/apartment above the garage and it has been such a blessing. Free rent and they feed me way too much food. It has helped me to save much for this next year, which will be the most expensive of my college career.
It is the end of July, almost August. I am almost done and I have almost made it! I thank God for blessing me so richly and I cannot wait to experience the times and things that lie in my future.
