Just as before, summer is continuing with success. It is shocking to see it fly by day after day, but I am looking forward to this coming semester. I must remind myself to live in the moment and not worry about tomorrow, but that is definitely a task I find difficult. (Below: Stephen, Shannon and I grabbing dinner at La Salsa in Malibu.)
Friday was the end of my 6th week at CESD Talent. There had been some personnel changes, so for a while I was assisting mainly in the On-Camera/Commercial department, which was a great learning experience, but in these next two weeks I think I will be working for various agents on many different things. Whatever it is, I will try to complete the work to the best of my ability. I feel as if I have had a good impression on my co-workers and can easily say that they have constantly been giving me beneficial instruction and continually supplying me with knowledge about agency work. I am excited to complete this internship and have some more "summer" time, but it will be bittersweet to end such a great internship.
This past weekend was very nice and relaxing. It included a picnic in the park with friends, a 3 mile run, dinner with fellow Academy of Television interns, worship on campus, incredible Greek cuisine, meeting new friends and hanging out with old ones. This coming week my sister, Nikki turns TWENTY FIVE! (Happy early Birthday, Nikki!) and later this month are even more birthdays, including my Mom's, but I won't give away her age. It would be nice to celebrate with them in Texas, but I will be flying back there on August 6th and will be able to do some late celebrating. P.S. After discovering that we have a mice problem at the barn (they have destroyed several items of food) and walking through spider webs, etc, I am definitely excited to be moving into town around August 1st. I will be sharing an apartment with Derek, Thomas and Caleb; I think it will be a blast! (Below: Kate, Catherine, Natasha, Blair and I after Sunday lunch at Taverna Tony in Malibu.)
