We arrived in Lausanne on Thursday afternoon and so far it has been an absolute blast! The view from my room is ridiculously amazing and rivals the view I had in Malibu.
I am rooming with Zach Tafoya this semester and our room is already looking nice. There are 55 students living in this house and we are living on 3 different floors and we all have lake views. The 1st and 2nd floors each have 10 guys and 8 girls; they are co-ed. The 3rd floor is all girls. The actual "first" floor is called the ground floor here, so by American standards I live on the 2nd. I live on the 1st floor in room 16, right across from the guys bathroom is nice. My room has bunk beds, two armoires, two desks, and a sink area with a medicine cabinet - our house is really nice.
Yesterday and today were orientation days and tomorrow we have a free day which will be nice. I think I plan on using it to explore the city more and just to relax. Lausanne is beautiful, very hilly and laid out on mutliple levels, but it the architecture and feel of it are great. I am exhausted, so I will write more later. I hope you all are doing well, wherever you may be!
